Moving is one of the most stressful events in peoples lives. People don’t move very often so they have many questions. We have heard almost every possible question and we’ve developed these answers to some of the most frequent questions that arise about moving. It’s part of Click4moving commitment to making your move easier in every way. When is the best time to move?
If there is a choice, most moving companies suggest you select a time other than summer or the end of the month. However, we do believe that you should move when it is most convenient for you. How long does it take to move?
This depends on many factors, including the time of year, weather conditions, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling. Remember that we always guaranty your pickup and delivery time. When should I call a moving company?
The earlier the better. It is wise to give us from four to six weeks advance notice. Do I need an estimate?
Yes. For small moves, you can get an estimate over the phone from one of our relocation consultant. For larger moves, upon request, a representative will give you a written "Estimated Cost of Services" after a survey of the goods to be moved. There is no charge for the estimate. How and when should I pay?
Most states regulations require that all charges be paid in full at the end of the move. We usually collect 50 percent on the pick and 50 percent upon delivery. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, money order, cashier’s check, traveler’s check, or credit card. Am I protected against loss or damage?
Yes, but how much protection you have and its cost to you depend upon the valuation option you choose. The option you choose determines click4moving maximum liability to you. Can my possessions be stored temporarily?
If you are unable to take immediate possession of your new residence, your belongings can be stored at reasonable cost in one of our many warehouses throughout the country. Can I pack clothes in the dresser drawers?
In general, we recommend that you empty items from all bureaus, desks, dressers chests, armoires, etc. Lightweight clothing-sweaters, shirts, blouses, lingerie-may be left in light dressers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items, which can damage the piece of furniture during transit. Should I move jewelry and other valuables?
While we can move valuables such as money, jewelry, or other items of extraordinary value, we recommend that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you.
